DESCRIPTION: One of the species that I had not yet seen in the wild is the Burrowing Owl. Thanks to a tip from Mary Malec, I knew where to find them recently and was successful at finding two one Saturday. At a fenced area of Ceasar Chavez Park, protected from dog walkers, I found this one resting on a rock at 8:30AM.
All shots were taken with 1dMk3 with 500mm f4 and 1.4x teleconverter.
